INNOVATIVE CLEAN AIR SOLUTIONS

The Aqua Filtered Air Unit (AFAU) is a patented water based air filtration and rehabilitation system that has been proven to reduce fine airborne dust particles introduced into the ventilation circuit by mining and tipping activities by 80%

These units are unique in that they can be installed with existing mining air ventilation infrastructure and dust extraction systems, making our air filtration solution customisable and easily implementable to any mining environment.

This offers a cost effective solution for compliance with Section 9(2) of the Mine Health & Safety Act, 1996.

SIBANYE GOLD MINE CASE STUDY

The AFAU air filtering unit was designed several years ago and these units have been installed at different hard rock Mining Operations in South Africa.

 

A Case study was conducted at Sibanye Gold – Beatrix Operations in May 2016 on these air filtering units. The conclusion was as follows:

 

"We as a mining want to express that this case study was successful in our opinion and implementation can be done at all mining units who wish to endeavour this method of tip filtration. The AFAU can be built in any size or shape, and with an 80+% efficiency, and no maintenance cost, it is obvious choice to airborne dust filtration.
